The Word DNA
At the centre of Kenala sits something that went without a good name for a long time. Internally it was called Master Brain for a long time. For a while it was called brand memory, then, for one day, Core. All correct, all useless. A doctor's practice does not think of itself as a brand. And nobody who does not write code knows what to do with Core.
On September 17 I said: DNA. A company's identity database. Who you are, how you speak, what you look like, what always has to be right. A word you have to explain first is not the right one yet. This one needs no explaining.
I did not rename anything for it. The folders, the fields, the technical names stay as they are. Inside, it can go on being called Master Brain. Outside, in proposals, on the website, in conversation, it is called DNA.
It may be the smallest decision in this project. And one of the most important. Anyone building a system for people who do not want to learn technology has to speak their language first.
