[ku] 36/26 Art
Two weeks, one long table and a great many new faces.
At the farewell dinner in the exhibition room, among the works of the others.
It is the small things you end up missing most. And it is the people who stay with you.
Two Sides
A farewell always has two sides. The joy of seeing my own family again, of sitting on the balcony together, the morning ritual with coffee and cocoa. It is the small things you end up missing most. And on the other side these two short weeks, in which I met more people than in the last two years.
What Stays
You step out of your comfort zone, you have to open up to other people, places and customs. Only to find afterwards that far more connects us than divides us. Right now, when so many people wall themselves off from others, it matters that we go out, eat together, argue and share what we have experienced. Thank you to everyone here who met me openly. And thank you to Minttu, who organised this farewell dinner, as she organised so much in these two weeks. Kiitos, Hämeenlinna.
