Three rooms look different. I approach them with the same eye. What sits as discipline in one field helps with reduction in the next.

The Same Eye, Three Rooms

In photography I work on commission, in art I work freely, in design I work within a system. The rooms look different, but I approach them with the same eye. An eye that pays attention to structures, to light, to what lies between things.

Some clients come for one thing and only later notice that the others are working alongside it. A brand I design has an image concept. A space I photograph has a composition. A series that takes shape in the studio has a stance.

One workshop. Three rooms.

What Sharpens What

What sits as discipline in photography helps with reduction in design. What is allowed as risk in art sharpens the eye in photography. What emerges as system in design brings order to the edition. None of it stands alone.

Why It Belongs Together

I could limit myself to one field. But then the others would be missing something. Everything interlocks because it comes from the same workshop. Image, space, identity is not the same thing three times. It is one question I work on along three paths.

Heimat. Between Perception and Memory.
In Heimat I deliberately let go of the stability of the visible. Through movement of the camera during exposure, the structures begin to flow.
