[ku] 34/26 Art
A gallery for the people of Hämeenlinna.
The old willow on the shore, one of the 161 motifs of the online gallery.
Why shouldn't the people here benefit from it? This way everyone has a share, not just one person far away from Hämeenlinna.
The Pictures Stay Here
Soon I will no longer be here, but the pictures should stay, and the people here should have something from them. So there is now an online gallery with all 161 motifs from my time in Hämeenlinna. Whoever likes picks out a favorite and orders it from me. Printing is done at the photo shop Raatikuva, run by Heikki and his son Teemu. And whoever wishes then takes the picture to Anu, the frame maker, and has it framed individually. This way everyone has a share.
A Bridge That Can Grow
In the exhibition hangs an information panel with a QR code, the text is in Finnish, translated with Terho’s help. Whether all of this will work, I do not know, but I want to try. Because that is what an exchange like this is about: building bridges, inspiring one another, and noticing that far more connects us than divides us. My thanks for this go to the artist Minttu Saarinen, who set all of it in motion, alongside her own artistic work.
